This is a video of a conversation ND, a church planter in Nepal had with me while I was there training pastors and church planters. Its a conversation about ministry, life, and missions.
This next video is from Radius International (radius international.org). It presents a debate between Ted Esler who is defending the Disciple-Making Movement Model (DMM) or Church-Planting Movement Model (CPM) of advancing the Great Commission and Pastor Chad Vegas, who is defending the Proclamation (of the Gospel) Model. This is a very interesting an informative debate which helps to define and evaluate the ideas effecting missions today. In case you’re wondering, Regions In Need does not advocate for the DMM or CPM model as a whole because we believe the major components of this model, which would include Obedience-Based Discipleship (OBD), the necessity of finding “the” Person of Peace, and Discovery-Bible Studies, in which interested unbelievers teach themselves from the Bible or biblical materials, are built on a faulty understanding of the gospel, the Great Commission, conversion, discipleship, and the church.
Pastor Mark Dever and founder of 9marks interviewed by Brooks Buser (President of Radius International) about the Church Planting Movement Model of trying to carry out the Great Commission.
